Christopher's Story

Four decades of practice, taught plainly

Author, speaker and educator in breathwork, mind mastery and evolutionary biology.

Christopher Gladwell

Christopher Gladwell is a globally recognised author, speaker, and educator in breathwork, mind mastery, and evolutionary biology. With over four decades of dedicated practice spanning Vedic pranayama, Tibetan meditation, neuroscience, and somatic intelligence, he has developed a unique methodology — Evolving Coherence — that bridges ancient wisdom with modern science.

His path began in the early 1980s in traditional contemplative practice, long before breathwork became a subject of clinical research. Years of retreat and daily discipline gave him a practitioner's understanding of what the breath actually does to a nervous system — and where the traditional maps were incomplete.

As respiratory physiology, polyvagal theory and trauma neuroscience matured, Christopher spent two decades integrating that research into his teaching rather than replacing his practice with it. The result is a body of work that is precise about mechanism without ever losing the felt, embodied quality of the practice itself.

Today he teaches individuals, clinicians, athletes and organisations including Google, Macmillan and Greenwich University, sharing the work with a growing community worldwide.

Methodology

Evolving Coherence

Four pillars that work together. Practise one and the others move; neglect one and the whole structure leans.

01

Mind Mastery

A working map of drives, conditioning and attention — self-knowledge precise enough to act on.

02

Intelligent Breathwork

Breath used with physiological literacy, matched to the state you actually need.

03

Embodied Awareness

Insight that lives in the body rather than the head, where change becomes durable.

04

Relational Intelligence

Coherence tested where it matters most — in contact with other people.
